Satellite Map - Spring 02

Satellite Map: Spring 02 develops Wingert’s language of layered abstraction through an open, vertical composition. Ink, vinyl paint, and chine-collé create overlapping fields of green, blue-green, gray, black, and yellow, with Japanese silk tissue introducing subtle shifts in opacity, translucency, and surface.

The work is structured through interruption, compression, and negative space. Dense passages of overlapping form are countered by areas of white, while concentrated yellow elements establish points of visual tension and directional movement. The result is spatially complex, materially precise, and held together by a highly controlled chromatic rhythm.
