Sales, Returns & Shipping

All sales of artwork, artist-made objects, and other works purchased through STROBEL Gallery are final. Returns, exchanges, and refunds are not accepted except in the case of qualifying damage incurred during shipping.

STROBEL Gallery makes every effort to provide accurate descriptions, dimensions, materials, photographs, and other relevant information about each work. We are happy to provide additional photographs or information and answer questions prior to purchase. Our goal is to help each collector find and acquire a work they will love and feel confident bringing into their collection.

Many works offered by STROBEL Gallery are unique, handmade, or created through processes that naturally result in variations in color, texture, surface, form, and finish. These characteristics are inherent to the artist’s materials and process and are not considered defects or damage.

Bespoke Works & Commissions

Bespoke works and commissions are created specifically for the collector and are final sale. Deposits on commissioned or custom work are non-refundable once the artist has begun work or materials have been ordered, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Commissioned works are developed in consultation with the collector and artist based on agreed specifications, which may include dimensions, materials, palette, placement, or other project-specific considerations. Because each work reflects the artist’s individual practice and is made by hand, reasonable variations inherent to the artist’s materials and process should be expected.

Any material changes requested by the collector after a commission has been approved or production has begun may result in additional costs and/or changes to the completion schedule. Any such changes will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.

Where a separate commission agreement or written proposal has been provided, the terms of that agreement will govern the commission.

Shipping Damage

We take great care in coordinating the safe packing and shipment of each work. In the unlikely event that a work arrives damaged, the purchaser must notify STROBEL Gallery promptly and retain the work and all original packing and shipping materials. Photographs of the work, packaging, and shipping container may be required to process an insurance claim.

STROBEL Gallery will work with the artist, shipper, and insurer, as appropriate, to have the work professionally repaired or restored to the collector’s reasonable satisfaction.

If damage incurred during shipping cannot be repaired or restored to the collector’s reasonable satisfaction, the purchaser will receive a full refund of the purchase price and applicable shipping charges paid to STROBEL Gallery.

Refunds for shipping damage are subject to compliance with the gallery’s damage-reporting and insurance-claim requirements.
