Satellite Map 03

Satellite Map 03 builds a dense vertical field through ink, vinyl paint, and chine-collé, with Japanese silk tissue creating shifts in transparency, saturation, and surface. Black, gray, iron red, and magenta are interrupted by emphatic bands of saturated red, giving the composition a strong internal structure.

Wingert allows the forms to remain discrete while building a larger visual system through overlap, compression, and scale. The result suggests mapping without describing a specific place—spatially complex, materially layered, and precise in its balance of opacity and transparency.
