Variation

Harold Hollingsworth explores mark-making through overlapping geometric lines, selectively painted over to create a surface of considerable textural depth. Traces of earlier decisions remain visible beneath the white paint. As the eye follows these intersecting lines, one shape gives way to another, producing shifts in spatial perception that recall the optical play of Op Art.
