Tina Randolph builds this oil painting through interlocking geometric forms, layered planes, and finely calibrated shifts in color. Rust, umber, charcoal, cream, ochre, and gray move through richly hued transitions, with a small passage of turquoise sharpening the composition.
The physicality of oil is central to the work. Layered pigment creates depth and density across the surface, allowing color to move from opaque, weighty passages into softer, more luminous transitions. Subtle changes in texture and sheen give the geometry a tactile presence, while repeated linear elements create rhythm and tension. The result is structured yet sensuous—an abstract composition in which color, surface, and form are inseparable.
