Pyramid with Gold Reticello and Bronze Base

Marc Carmen’s Pyramid with Gold Reticello and Bronze Base combines Venetian glass patternwork with the precise geometry of a coldworked pyramid. A curved lattice of fine gold-colored glass threads appears suspended above a bronze-toned base. Polished triangular faces reflect and multiply the reticello structure, revealing different configurations from each viewpoint. The contemporary glass sculpture brings Carmen’s interest in symmetry and optical perception into a compact architectural form.
