Nopal 2026

Nopal 2026 transforms the nopal cactus—a potent symbol of Mexican culture and a familiar presence across the desert Southwest—into luminous sculptural glass. From Manolo Aguilera’s Nopales series, the work draws on his Venetian glass training while connecting cultural memory with the arid landscapes of Mexico and Southern California’s Coachella Valley.
