Painters Totem

Painter’s Totem assembles wood, beeswax, oil paint, brushes, metal leaf, selenite, and nylon string into a vertical sculptural form that feels part studio relic, part improvised monument. Painted and incised surfaces stack against raw wood and accumulated tools, allowing the materials of painting itself to become the subject.

Maxi collapses the boundary between making and object: brushes become structure, pigment becomes surface and evidence, and the residue of the studio is reorganized into something ceremonial, architectural, and deeply tactile.
