Bound

Bound brings four hot-sculpted glass forms into a low, horizontal composition, each volume pressing gently into the next. Deep green, vivid orange, amber-brown, and lavender create a rhythmic progression of color, while the softened contours suggest both weight and elasticity.

Kovel uses contact and compression as sculptural devices, allowing the individual forms to remain distinct while reading as a single connected body. The result is playful, precise, and materially assured—an exploration of balance, color, and the physical intelligence of glass.
