Adam Bentz’s Inertia Series 5 is a sculptural linear pendant chandelier in white oak. Its long, graceful line is formed by bending the wood under precisely controlled pressure sustained over an extended period of time. A tinted-oil finish developed by Bentz gives the surface a warm, lustrous depth, enriching the grain and subtly changing the way the wood catches light across the curve. Illumination is integrated throughout the full length of the sculpture, making light intrinsic to the form.

For commissioned works, Bentz can consult on scale, placement, suspension, illumination, and electrical requirements, and collaborate with architects, designers, and qualified electrical professionals as part of a comprehensive lighting plan.
