Hati and Skoll draws on the Norse myth of the wolves who pursue the moon and sun across the sky, their chase bound to the cosmic cycle that culminates in Ragnarök.
Rather than illustrating the legend, Backhaus-Brown & Egeværk give it physical form. A dark, battuto-cut glass hull is held within an oak keel that rises into two taut, opposing arcs, creating a sense of pursuit, suspension, and inevitability. The cut surface of the glass recalls the rhythm of hand-hewn timber, while the oak carries the line and tension of the vessel upward.
Conceived collaboratively by all four artists, the sculpture distills mythology, maritime history, and material knowledge into a single, commanding form—ancient in resonance, yet unmistakably contemporary.
