Fluid Topographies: Object 40 is part of George William Bell’s ongoing investigation of glass as a responsive sculptural medium. Heat, pressure, and custom tooling shape the molten form from within, leaving the process legible in the work’s rounded contours and internal transitions. Sand carving softens and articulates the surface, emphasizing the relationship between exterior form, transmitted light, and the volume held within.
