EMOVERE DISPLAY SHELF
The illustrated work is sold and presented as inspiration for a new commission.
Adam Bentz’s Emovere series grew from a conversation with Sheila Strobel about creating a sculptural support for the presentation of Studio Glass. The structure was conceived as part of the composition, establishing a formal relationship between the displayed work, its support, and the surrounding space.
Working in ash with a black oil finish, Bentz develops the form through continuous curves, shifts in plane, balance, and negative space. The integrated shelf establishes a site for the placement of sculpture within the larger composition. Light and shadow further articulate the form and its relationship to the wall.
Emovere may be commissioned in response to a specific work or collection, with dimensions and configuration developed for the object and its architectural setting.
Shipping arrangements and cost for a new commission are to be determined.
